For the rest of this month if you bring in some cans to donate to the Ozarks Food Harvest, we'll give you a discount on any purchases you make.
So, if you need to finish up a MTG deck or pick up those last few gifts, take advantage! Here's the deal:

1 can = 1% off
2 cans = 2% off
3 cans = 3% off
and so on...
up to...
15 cans = 15% off

You can bring more than 15 if you're feeling generous (it is for a good cause after all) but the discount stops ticking up at 15.

This deal won't work with purchases on store credit, so be sure to bring some cash or a suitable plastic substitute.

PTQ this Saturday, Dec 8th

If you like to play Magic and travel the world, we've got just the thing for you. PTQ Gatecrash is coming up this weekend. If you win, you'll receive a free plane ticket to the Pro Tour in Quebec (better start getting your visa taken care of now). 

The PTQ will be a Return to Ravnica Sealed Deck. Entry to the event is $30.00 and we'll be starting at 11:00AM on the 8th. Our doors will open at 10:00AM so be sure to get here early and register.

Here's the first of the Black Friday sales!

If you subscribe to our newsletter you should already know about all of our sales, but just in case you haven't, I'll be posting them over the next few days on here. You can also sign up for our newsletter over on our Facebook page.

Black Friday Deal # 1

From the time we open at 8:00AM on Friday, the 23rd, until NOON, all MTG Return to Ravnica singles will be buy 1 get 1 free (equal or lesser value). At NOON, if you are not already in line, you will not be able to take advantage of this deal. We will hand out tickets to be sure those of you who arrive at or before noon get in on the savings.

If you can't make it before the sale ends, don't worry, we will have lots of other sales going on all day long. But, those will show up in another day's post.

Saturday Events (Nov 3rd)

Tomorrow, Saturday, the 3rd, we'll be hosting a Yu-Gi-Oh Sneak Peek for Abyss Rising. We'll start sign-ups at 10:00 AM and the event will begin at 11:00 AM. Entry is $20 and you'll get 5 packs, a promo and a chance to win exclusive playmats for your fee. We are limited to only 48 spots so be sure to get here early to secure your spot.

Not a Yu-Gi-Oh player, not a problem, we will also be hosting a Pokemon Pre-Release for Boundaries Crossed a bit later in the day. Our good friend Steve from Feral Events will be running the show. Registration will begin at 12:15 PM with the tournament starting at 1:00 PM. Entry is $28 and you'll receive 6 packs and a promo for your fee. With the staggered start times, you can even play in both events!

Monday: New Stuff!

There are a few cool new things gracing our shelves this week. Here are our Monday arrivals to brighten your day:

Sentinels of the Multiverse Card Game... the original Sentinels of the Multiverse was very well received and now we have the next game in the popular series (not to confuse anyone, this is a brand new stand alone game based in the same universe).

Also new on the shelf is the Flames of War - Open Fire! starter box. It provides everything you'll need to start gaming with 15mm WWII minis. Not only do you get a super sweet full color rulebook, but also about 120 minis, terrain, dice and some other useful tidbits.

Warhammer 40k

40k players, don't forget that we'll be hosting a TOMAHAWC event tomorrow morning. Bring 1500 points and $10.00 to get in. Those fantastic dudes Lee & Ryan will be taking your entry fees and running the event.

It wants you to buy it, if you don't you're going to wake up tonight with a Woldwrath's glowing eyes in the darkness at the end of your bed. You should probably do what it wants.

Used Warhammer

So, since Games Workshop has nixed all metal miniatures in favor of the more popular plastic (and finecast -  arguable?) we've decided to start moving all our metal minis to our used case. The first ones to be transferred over are all of the Fantasy metal blister packages. 

They're all roughly half off the original marked price. As we sell through the blister packs, we will start adding the metal boxed sets to the used shelves (both Fantasy and 40K).

New Stuff and Restocks Too

Our shelves are abound with cool new things this week and there is still more to come!

From where I'm sitting right now I can see Spartacus, a brand new board game set in ancient Rome. It

borrows some artwork from the television series but doesn't seem to be subject to the pitfalls of other TV based board games. It's got an 8.something on BoardGameGeek which is very respectable.



Also hitting the shelves today is Dungeon!, a new D&D fantasy board game. Dungeon! is a family friendly, slightly simplified version of Dungeons and Dragons. Players get to choose a class and take off to adventure through the dungeon. The winner is the player who manages to bring out the most treasure from the adventure. This game is also sitting atop the BGG Hotness list this week!

The much anticipated Elminster's Forgotten Realms is also out this week. This supplement was done by the creator of the setting, Ed Greenwood.

As far as restocks go, we've got several more copies of Super Dungeon Explore, Gloom and about a million Pathfinder Map Packs.

Our main order comes in tomorrow so expect more to come this week!

Seasons - A Fantastic New Board Game

This game is awesome, you should definitely give it a try!

The first shipment sold out quick but never fear, we have it restocked now and we're ready to play. 

Draft cards, roll dice and manage resources! It doesn't get any better than that. AND... most importantly (according to me) it plays fairly quick. Come by and check out our demo copy and if you love it, we'll gladly sell you a brand new one. If we're not busy you can probably even get us to demo it for you!

Grand Prix Trial: TODAY!

Magic players, don't forget that we're hosting a GPT for Grand Prix Chicago today (Saturday the 13th) at 2:00 PM. 

The format is modern and entry will be $5.00. The winner will receive a 3 round bye to GPT Chicago and Top 8 will also receive prize based on attendance. Deck registration will be required so come with a deck list prepared or early enough to fill one out once you get here. We'll see you here!

This Week in News: Pre-Release Spectacular

Come join us for our Return to Ravnica Pre-Release. This Saturday at Midnight (after FNM) we'll be hosting our first pre-release flight. If you can't make midnight, don't worry, we will have another on Saturday at 6:00 PM and one on Sunday at 11:00 AM.

Each event will be a slightly modified sealed deck; each player will receive 1 pack of cards specific to the guild or their choosing and 5 regular packs of Return to Ravnica. Entry fee will be $25.00 and you'll only be able to choose your guild while supplies last. We have a limited number of spots for each guild in each event so be sure to come in and sign up early to guarantee your guild!

Further News: September Week III

So we got some new stuff in today...

Add some goblin goodness to your D&D Command Roster with the new Tyranny of Goblins set. A couple gems from GenCon also hit our shelves this week, Level 7 Escape and Mage Wars. Privateer Press is staying on top of their game, this being their 3rd large release for the week. Mage Wars has been highly anticipated since they started demoing it almost 2 years ago, now it can be yours to own.

Axis & Allies 1940 Europe and Pacific got restocked today as well. Buy both and you can combine them into one massive battle board for a full war campaign. These are a limited release so don't wait too long to snag them. They would make a terrific Christmas gift for the history buff or historical gamer on your list, get that shopping out of the way early this year! Buy them this weekend and get 15% off during our 15th Anniversary Sale!

This week in news: September Week III

This week will see the release of... wait for it... THE Iron Kingdoms RPG. It's been a long time coming and it will finally grace our shelves this Wednesday! In fact, it will get here just in time for you to grab one at 15% off during our 15th Anniversary Extravaganza.
